Canada has seen an unprecedented growth in the international student population. it is probably the fastest growing country hosting international students. The following data illustrates the point:

It is interesting to note that the growth of international students in Canada was 47% from 2010 to 2014 and it grew substantially by 83% between 2015 and 2019. While some part of this growth may be due to increased interest of students in Canadian education, part of this growth is also due to the perception amongst international students about the current US policies for international students. The loss of USA has been the gain of Canada.
